Hawaii, a brief look

Hawaii (6-7, 3-4)--Ending their season on December 3rd and not making it to a bowl is nothing less than a disappointment for the Warriors after the past few seasons of success. Even after an unacceptable loss to UNLV earlier in the year, Hawaii was 5-3 after 8 games before losing 4 of their last 5 games to end with a 6-7 record. The passing offense was very efficient with just over 305 yards in the air per game. The rushing game was mostly nonexistent with 95 yards per game. The Warriors just barely outscored their opponents even though averaging over 31 points per game. The defense was bad giving up over 20 points in 10 of 13 games. The Warriors must replace Bryant Moniz at quarterback. Moniz leaves Hawaii with over 10,000 yards passing and 75 touchdowns in his career for the Warriors. With the move to the MWC this fall, the in conference games will be much tougher for the Warriors and they may struggle to get to a winning record in the 2012 season.
