Rice versus Marshall Preview

3:00 PM ET Rice at Marshall—Rice (2-3, 1-1) is halfway to the win total of 2010 with wins over Memphis and Purdue. The Owls have lost by an average of 27.3 points in the other 3 games not even looking competitive in most of the games. Marshall (2-4, 1-1) is a confusing team to figure out. Are they the team that beat Southern Miss and Louisville or the team that got blown out badly versus Ohio? The Thundering Herd have troubles scoring points and have to rely on a defense led by All American candidate Vinny Curry who already has 6 sacks on the season after 12 in 2010. Behind the defense of Curry and company, the Thundering Herd should be able to score just enough to win a harder than expected game versus Rice.
