Wyoming, a brief look

Wyoming (8-5, 5-2)--The Cowboys were one of the biggest surprises in college football in 2011 pulling out a winning record but falling short versus a very good Temple team in the New Mexico bowl. The Cowboys had a top 35 rushing attack led by do it all freshman quarterback Brett Smith. Smith had over 2600 yards in the air and over 700 yards on the ground and looks to have the starting quarterback job in hand as long as he stays at Wyoming. The most troubling aspect of the Cowboys 2011 season is that they were outscored by nearly 2 point per game but still pulled out 8 wins. Generally, those wins and losses even out so the Cowboys must find a way to change that point differential significantly to take the next step and contend for a conference title in 2012.
