Duron Carter: Will he last at FAU?
A 4-star wide receiver coming out of high school, son of former NFL great Chris Carter, singing with Ohio State as one of the prized players of the recruiting class: Those are the accolades of wide receiver Duron Carter.
Fast forward to now and following a failed stint at Alabama, Carter is now a member of the Florida Atlantic Owls. In Carter's first practice with the Owls, he was kicked out of practice by wide receivers coach Jeff Sims. While many players that were once heralded turn into stars with a chance of scenery and a new coaching staff, Carter seems to be headed in that direction with Florida Atlantic looking to be the receiver's last shot at college football. It is very unlikely for Carter to win his appeal to play immediately and will have to sit out the 2012 season and have a year of eligibility remaining in 2013.
So the question is: will Carter last at FAU and finish his career in a productive manner after all of these (mostly self imposed) setbacks?
