The only big loss of the class was 3-star defensive back Xavier Woods flipping to in-state rival Louisiana Tech at the last minute. The Hilltoppers got players in many different positions of need including players better suited for Bobby Petrino's system. Building momentum for a move to the Sun Belt, the Texas State Bobcats used their location to pull in a very impressive recruiting class for the 2013 season. The Bobcats inked  seven 3-star recruits and leaned hard on the JUCO route with 10 NLI's coming from JUCO players. 13 of the Bobcat's 22 commits came from in-state with a surprising 7 players coming from the state of California. The only loss for the Bobcats was 2-star tight end Tristan Henderson flipping to UAB at the last minute. Expect to see a young but much improved Texas State team on the field in 2013.

Heading into their first season at a FBS team (albeit transitional), the Georgia State Panthers inked 16 recruits to NLI on Wednesday. The Panthers got a good one in 3-star Stone Mountain, Georgia product Kight Dallas who picked Georgia State over offers from the SEC, ACC, Big 10, and Pac-12. The biggest question for the Panthers is a group of five players (River Bryant, Oshay Carter, BJ Clay, Keremy Fulcher, and Calvain Holmes) who are still committed but did not sign NLI. The Panthers signed 13 of their 16 recruits from in-state. The biggest loss was 2-star athlete Deonte Davie who flipped to Wake Forest for his NLI.
