2012 Records:
  • Arkansas State (10-3, 7-1)

  • Louisiana-Monroe (8-5, 6-2)
  • Western Kentucky (7-6, 4-4)

  • Texas State (4-8, 2-4)
  • Georgia State (1-10, 1-7)
While Arkansas State has been the class of the Sun Belt for the last two years, the Red Wolves lost two-time Sun Belt MVP Ryan Aplin and are also on their third head coach in three years. There seems to be a group of three teams ready to give the Red Wolves a run for the Sun Belt title. Louisiana, Louisiana-Monroe, and Western Kentucky all made bowl games in 2012 with ULM and WKU making their first ever bowl games as FBS members. Between Petrino taking over at WKU and Kolton Browning heading into his senior year at ULM, both teams look ready to pounce. Don't forget Louisiana who worked in a new quarterback in Terrence Broadway winning 5 of their final 6 games with only a loss to #6 Florida. Troy looks to be next in line with Texas State with South Alabama and Georgia State (a combined 3-21 in 2012) making up the rear of the conference.

Overall conference record: (46-54)
New member record: (5-18)
