According to 247, Florida International is the 77th ranked recruiting class in the nation and the fourth ranked Conference USA program. The Golden Panthers never had to leave the state of Florida with all 20 commits coming from within state. The biggest recruit may turn out to be Anthony Jones of Miami Central High School. As an early enrollee, Jones could push for playing time as early as the spring game.
Florida International is coming off of a 4-8 season that ended with disappointment after so much optimism heading into the season. The low point of the season was a season opening loss to FCS program Bethune-Cookman at home to begin a 3-5 home record in 2014. The Golden Panthers did secure wins over MTSU, UAB and FAU in conference play to salvage a 3-5 CUSA record.
