According to 247 Texas San Antonio is the 85th ranked recruiting class in the nation and the sixth ranked Conference USA program. The Roadrunners have been able to raid 6 different states for recruits but got 20 commits from within state. UTSA pulled in eight 3-star recruits that have the opportunity to break into the two-deep and give some much needed depth to the roster.
UTSA is coming off of a 4-8 season that saw them nearly knock off the Pac-12 South Division winners Arizona and lose four games by 10 or fewer points. Such are the growing pains of a team that recently did not even exist. The Roadrunners were able to defeat conference foes FIU, Southern Miss and North Texas in finishing with a 3-5 conference record. UTSA has a very tough non-conference schedule including Oklahoma State, Arizona and Kansas State and will need as much talented depth as possible.
