According to 247, Louisiana is the 74th ranked recruiting class in the nation and the second ranked Sun Belt program, behind Arkansas State. The Ragin Cajuns have an impressive eight 3-star commits with players coming from seven different states. The star of the recruiting class could be JUCO transfer Jeryl Brazil, coming from the JUCO powerhouse East Mississippi CC. He is expected to compete for playing time immediately and even start this fall.
The Ragin Cajuns are coming off of a 9-4 season that ended with yet another win in the New Orleans Bowl. This time was a dominating 16-3 win over Nevada of the MWC. Under head coach Mark Hudspeth, the Ragin Cajuns have gone 9-4 in four straight seasons along with four consecutive wins in the New Orleans Bowl.
