Can Nunez-Roches be the next Golden Eagle in the NFL?

Rakeem Nunez-Roches, Southern Miss: Nunez-Roches had his best season as a junior with 58 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and a blocked kick. He earned 1st team All-Conference USA for his impressive play on an improved Golden Eagles defense. Nunez-Roches was named All-Conference USA Honorable Mention as a sophomore. He started 11 games on the interior defensive line and appeared in all 12 contests with 37 total tackles (22 solo, 15 assisted) with six tackles for loss and one sack, one forced fumble and blocked a kick. Member of the Conference USA All-Freshman Team. Nunez-Roches does have the benefit of playing a much needed position on the defensive line but this is a fairly deep draft for quality defensive linemen. Currently, Nunez-Roches is on the outside looking in at a draft position and must prove himself either in the combine or on pro days. He has the ability to play at the next level but this is a bit of a questionable move with his opportunity to take a step forward and get into the top 15 defensive tackles.
