Top 15 G5 Receivers By Total Yards


The G5 had a great year passing the ball in 2014 but until looking at the stats, it's hard to believe just how good. Here is a look at the top 15 returning receivers by total yards. 
  • Rashard Higgins, Colorado State: 96/1750/17TD. Higgins was the national leader in receiving yards and if not for the season of Amari Cooper, the junior would have been the Blietnikoff Award winner last fall. Ten 100+ yard receiving games and averaged 145.8 receiving yards per game. Five double digit receiving games. 164/2,587/23TD for his career (2 seasons).
  • Corey Davis, Western Michigan: 78/1408/15TD. Davis finished the 2014 season seventh in the nation in receiving yards with an 18.1 yards per catch average. The junior had eight 100+ yard receiving games while breaking the 200 yard mark once versus Ohio. 117.3 receiving yards per game. 145/2,349/21TD for his career (2 seasons).
  • Tajae Sharpe, Massachusetts: 85/1281/7TD. Sharpe ended the 2014 season in the top ten nationally in receiving yards with 1,281 on 85 catches for a 15.1 yards per catch average. Sharpe only had four 100+ yards games but put up 179, 154, 193, and 239 in those games. 106.8 receiving yards per game. 166/2,167/11TD for his career (3 seasons).
  • Keevan Lucas, Tulsa: 101/1219/11TD. Lucas ended the 2014 season eight nationally in total catches with 101 and 12th nationally with 1,219 yards receiving for a 12.1 yards per catch average. The sophomore had five 100+ yard games capped by a 13 catch, 233 yard game versus Tulane. 101.6 receiving yards per game. 133/1,661/12TD for his career (2 seasons). 
  • Roger Lewis, Bowling Green: 73/1093/7TD. Lewis ended the season as the nation's #22 receiver with 1093 yards on 73 catches for a 15.0 yards per catch average. The sophomore had six 100+ games capped by a 16 catch, 149 yard game in an upset win over Indiana. 78.1 receiving yards per game. 73/1093/7TD for his career (1 season).
  • Daniel Braverman, Western Michigan: 86/997/6TD. Braverman ended the 2014 season as the nation's 38th ranked receiver with 991 yards receiving on 86 catches. The junior had four 100+ yard games and hit double digit catches versus Purdue and Ball State. 76.7 receiving yards per game. 104/1,132/6TD for his career (2 seasons). 
  • Devonte Boyd, UNLV: 65/980/4TD. Boyd came in as a freshman and finished tied for 39th nationally with 980 yards receiving on 65 catches for a 15.1 yards per catch average. The sophomore had three 100+ yard games and made at least two catches in every game last season. 75.4 receiving yards per game. 65/980/4TD for his career (1 season).
  • Hunter Sharp, Utah State: 66/939/7TD. Sharp ended last season at 47th nationally in receiving yards with 939 on 66 catches for a 14.2 yards per catch average. The senior had four 100+ yard games and had 12 catches versus Wake Forest and Air Force. 72.2 receiving yards per game. 66/939/7TD for his career (1 season).
  • Mitch Mathews, BYU: 73/922/9TD. Mathews ended the 2014 season as the 50th ranked receiver in total yards with 922 on 73 catches for a 12.6 yards per catch average. The senior had four 100+ games capped by a 16 catch, 182 yard performance versus Nevada. 70.9 receiving yards per game. 98/1,346/13TD for his career (3 seasons).
  • Teldrick Morgan, New Mexico State: 75/903/7TD. Morgan ended the 2014 season as the nation's 51st ranked receiver in yards with 903 on 75 catches for a 12.0 yards per catch average. The junior ended the season with four 100+ yard games capped by a 8 catch, 202 yards performance versus UTEP. 82.1 receiving yards per game. 75/903/7TD for his career (1 season).
  • Donovan Harden, Georgia State: 60/885/7TD. Harden ended the 2014 season as the nation's 53rd ranked receiver in yards with 885 on 60 catches for a 14.8 yards per catch average. The senior had only two 100+ yard games in which Harden caught a combined 21 passes. 73.6 receiving yards per game. 60/885/7TD for his career (1 season). 
  • Thomas Sperbeck, Boise State: 51/877/3TD. Sperbeck ended the 2014 season as the nation's 54th ranked receiver in yards with 877 on 51 catches for a 17.2 yards per catch average. The junior had three 100+ games and put up his statistics while only playing in 12 games while two were only as a special teams player with no catches. 87.7 yards per game after taking the starting role but 73.1 receiving yards per game overall. 56/917/3TD for his career (2 seasons). 
  • Rashon Ceaser, Louisiana Monroe: 77/872/3TD. Ceasar ended the 2014 season as the nation's 55th ranked receiver in yards with 872 on 77 catches for a, 11.3 yards per game average. The senior had three 100+ yard games and broke double digits in catches versus Troy, Arkansas State, and Louisiana. 72.7 receiving yards per game. 162/2,098/10TD for his career (3 seasons).
  • Carlos Harris, North Texas: 71/869/3TD. Harris ended the 2014 season as the nation's 57th ranked receiver in yards with 869 on 71 catches for a 12.2 yards per catch average. The senior had three 100+ yard games with a 15 catch, 216 yard game versus Southern Miss while breaking 10 catches versus Indiana and UTSA as well. 72.4 receiving yards per game. 137/1,675/6TD for his career (3 seasons). 
  • Ajalen Holley, Louisiana Monroe: 57/863/7TD. Holley ended the 2014 season as the nation's 59th ranked receiver with 863 yards on 57 catches for a 15.1 yards per catch average. The junior had three 100+ yard games with a six catch, 175 yard game versus Idaho standing out. 71.9 receiving yards per game. 78/1,129/12TD for his career (2 seasons).
