Tate Forcier has a home

After a sometimes excessive and bizarre search for a school to transfer to, Tate Forcier has decided to take his talents to San Jose State. For those keeping track of the quarterback, he started at Michigan and left to go to Miami where he left after a few days and narrowed his list down to Hawaii and San Jose State.

He may have been able to run the Hawaii offense but he was not the same type of quarterback as Hawaii is used to going after. He has a skill set that just wouldn't be properly used in the run and shoot offense of Hawaii.

In picking San Jose State, he gets his coveted chance to start over and really make a name for himself after sitting out for a year due to the transfer rules. While he is more talented than the current and 2012 quarterbacks out there, it is never a guarantee that he will be able to beat them out and become the savior of the SJSU program that fans are going to anoint him.

I am hoping that he does not flame out like the countless big time recruits that transferred and never were able to regain a starting spot and languished on the bench at their new school. Time will eventually tell but the Forcier saga is over till 2012.
