Overall Breakdown: Delaware decided not to play a D-I team in 2010 and ended up 12-2 and with a 19 point lead in the national championship game with 1 minute to play in the 3rd quarter. They ended up losing the game and the title to Eastern Washington at the end, 20-19. The Naval Academy played down to Georgia Southern and barely survived in winning 13-7 in a hard fought game. They went on to win 9 games and lose to a very talented SDSU team in the Poinsettia Bowl. 7 of their games in 2010 were decided by 8 or fewer points with Navy going 4-3 in those contests. This was not the dominant Navy team of the past few years but in 2011, things should get a little better. Navy has a daunting schedule and must get off on a hot start to avoid falling in a hole and possibly not become bowl eligible this fall. Expect Navy to control the game with their option attack and just out physical the Blue Hens and win a game that will be closer than expected.
