Air Force, a brief look

Air Force (7-6, 3-4)--Air Force had a winning season and made it to a bowl game in 2011 but did not live up to the expectations for last season. Of the Falcon’s 7 wins in 2011, none came versus teams that went bowling and 2 of those wins actually came versus teams that are in I-AA. Air Force was in the top 3 nationally in rushing yards per game and in the top 20 nationally in points scored with 34.9 points per game. The biggest issue was that they gave up an abysmal 28.4 points per game including 6 games that they gave up over 30 points. With a weaker MWC due to the losses of Kellen Moore at Boise and Hillman at SDSU, Air Force has the opening to make waves one year later than expected. Anything less than 9 wins in 2012 would be a disappointment for the Falcons.
