Boise State, a brief look
Boise State (12-1, 6-1)--Oh, what could have been in 2011 for the Boise State Broncos. Another kicking blunder kept the Broncos from realistically earning a spot in the National Championship game and bumped the Broncos down to the lowly Las Vegas bowl. Boise destroyed Arizona State in that game 56-24 sending senior quarterback Kellen Moore out as the most winning quarterback in NCAA history. In addition to losing Moore, the Broncos also lose running back Doug Martin, leading receiver Tyler Shoemaker, and leading tackler Byron Hout in addition to others. There were over 25 senior that have moved on from the 2011 team and Coach Peterson must reload in Boise’s last year in the MWC. On the positive side, Boise brings in a freshman class that has 13 three-star recruits. Expect the Broncos to slip slightly but still be a very strong team in 2012 and the favorites to win the MWC before moving on the Big East.
