Bowling Green State University

Bowling Green State University (5-7, 3-5)--The Falcons due themselves a deep hole that they could not climb out of resulting in the Falcons not going bowling in 2011. BGSU started out strong with a win over a solid Idaho team and I-AA Morgan State. After splitting games with Miami (OH) and Wyoming, a three-game losing streak put the season in jeopardy. The Falcons showed up strong and upset Temple before melting down in a loss to Kent State. That loss started a slide that saw BGSU lose 3 of their final 4 games in disappointing fashion. Quarterback Max Schilz returns for his junior year with over 5200 yards passing and 36 touchdowns. Things should get better for the Falcons and they should be able to compete for a division title if all goes well.
