Ball State, a brief look

Ball State (6-6, 4-4)--The Cardinals did about as well as everyone predicted winning every game they were supposed to win and losing nearly every game they were expected to lose. The one wild card was that they beat eventual conference champion Ohio on the road. Even though they had a .500 record, there was no bowling for the Cardinals. They were in a similar boat to Sun Belt team WKU who was bowl eligible but there were not enough open slots for them to fit. Ball State returns quarterback Keith Wenning who has thrown for over 4000 yards in his first two years for the Cardinals. If he can keep improving, Ball State might be making a run to challenge for a conference title in 2012.
