ECU brief outlook of last season

East Carolina (5-7, 4-4)—2011 was the first losing season since 2005. 5-year bowl streak came to an end as well. ECU finished 3^rd in the C-USA Eastern division during the 2011 season. ECU passed for over 285 yards per game in 2011 making the Pirates the 20^th best passing game in the country. They gave up 32.3 points per game ranking them at 97^th in the country. The Pirates gave up over 30 points in 7 of their 12 games last season. The biggest loss is quarterback Dominique Davis who threw for over 7000 yards and 62 touchdown in two seasons as the starter.
