Louisiana Tech, a brief look
Louisiana Tech (8-5, 6-1)--Out of all of the WAC teams to step up and control the conference in 2011, Louisiana Tech was very unlikely. The Bulldogs lost 4 off their first 5 games but rebounded with 7 straight wins to win the conference. Louisiana Tech fought valiantly versus a #18 TCU squad but came up just short in the Poinsettia Bowl. After a lengthy quarterback battle last season, Colby Cameron took over the job and won 5 of his 6 starts at quarterback. Cameron comes back for his senior season. With a good season like 2011, the Bulldogs were able to bring in a very talented recruiting class that will fill in gaps for the 2012 season. Also returning is Ray Guy Award winner Ryan Allen who averaged 46.1 yards per punt on 83 punts in 2011. Allen is a weapon for the Bulldogs in winning the field position war. With the loss of the 3 teams to the MWC, Louisiana Tech should be the favorites to win the WAC easily in 2012.
