With the merger coming soon between the MWC and Conference USA and an added force of CBSSports added MWC coverage, the powers that be have decided to shut the MWC channel off at the end of May.
For those that had the channel, it was a very good way to access the MWC and get some good exposure to the conference in general. CBSSports and NBC Universal were co-owners of the station and jointly decided that it was in their best interest to shut the channel down. Expect to see more MWC football on CBSSports tv station.
This is the end of an era as the MTN was the first channel completely dedicated to one single conference since its inception in 2006.
