Coach Pete Lembo announced the suspension Thursday.

Bowling Green:
The Bowling Green State University football team took part in practice on Saturday afternoon, in preparation for their season-opener, one week from today, in the Swamp. With temperatures in the low 90s, the team got a good feel for how the conditions will be when they kickoff, next Saturday, at 3:30 pm in Gainesville. During practice, Cleveland-based rapper MGK (Machine Gun Kelly) stopped by to talk to the team, before his Saturday night performance at Stroh Center. Central Michigan:
MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. – The Chippewas were able to provide the second and third teams with a lot of reps during the squad's final scrimmage of preseason camp, which wrapped up today in front of members of the 1100 Club.
"We worked on a lot of different situations. The ones-on-ones were out there for the majority of the first part of practice and were able to get in all of our special teams. There were some guys who were we hoping to get a closer look at than others and we were able to do that," said head coach Dan Enos.

Eastern Michigan:
Left tackle Korey Neal didn't blink when someone asked whether Eastern Michigan had shed its "easy beat" reputation with a 6-6 record (4-4 Mid-American Conference) in 2011.
Neal, a three-year starter, responded firmly.
"The days of Eastern being in the doghouse, sneaking up, are over," Neal said. "We're sick of being the doormat. I think those days are gone."

Game Week is Here: Flashes Host Towson in Season Opener Thursday Night
After going 4-1 to close out the 2011 season, the Kent State football team is primed to pick up where it left off, returning most of its key players on both sides of the ball.  The Golden Flashes open their 2012 campaign against FCS power Towson Thursday under the lights at Dix Stadium.  As the current Golden Flashes look to make the program's first bowl appearance in 40 years, approximately 50 players from the last team to go bowling will be on hand as Kent State celebrates the 40th anniversary of its 1972 MAC Championship team.

Massachusetts:
AMHERST — It doesn’t take long to feel it when you meet University of Massachusetts football coach Charley Molnar. Maybe even over the course of a few seconds, before you shake his hand, you’ll recognize it.
You half expect to feel a jolt in your arm like the one that comes from touching a neon light that’s turned on. If you’ve never made that mistake, electricity surges up your arm into your shoulder in an instant — rendering you both literally and figuratively shocked.

Northern Ilinois:
The Northern Illinois Huskies closed out 2012 preseason football practices Saturday with a “mock game” at Huskie Stadium that included pregame stretching, the team entrance, seeing every personnel group on offense, defense and special teams, halftime and even the singing of the post-game fight song.
There was no hitting, no passes thrown and no real “defense” played during the mental exercise.
Second-year head coach Dave Doeren said he “feels good” about where the team is with the season opener versus Iowa just a week away and classes set to start on Monday.
“We had a great fall camp,” Doeren said. “I really like the chemistry of our team, and our senior leadership has impressed me. Today was a really good day mentally, we got a lot of things in.I feel good about where we’re at right now. It’s time to play a game and see what we have.”

Toledo:
TOLEDO, OH - The University of Toledo and the University of Tulsa have agreed to play a two-game series in football in 2016 and 2017, UT Athletic Director Mike O'Brien announced today. The Rockets will travel to Tulsa on Sept. 17, 2016, with the Golden Hurricane returning the trip to Toledo on Sept. 16, 2017.
Tulsa is a member of Conference USA. The Golden Hurricane was 8-5 in 2011, falling to BYU in the Armed Forces Bowl, 24-21. The two schools have met twice, with Toledo winning at Tulsa in 1962, and Tulsa prevailing in the Glass Bowl in 1964.
"We are very pleased to add Tulsa to our football schedules for 2016 and 2017," said O'Brien. "Tulsa has a highly respected football program. The home game in 2017 adds another high-profile matchup for our fans to watch in the Glass Bowl."

Western Michigan:
KALAMAZOO, MI – They had the entire football field to themselves after an afternoon practice Thursday, and the Simon brothers played around without a care in the world.
Johnson Simon was doing his best to keep his younger brother from tackling him and although Johnnie Simon, a starting safety on the Western Michigan University football team, wasn’t trying his hardest, he was enjoying every moment with his brother.
