The Florida Atlantic Owls have continued their recent tradition of a very difficult non-conference schedule with trips to Miami FL, South Florida, and Auburn in addition to a home game versus a virtual unknown product in New Mexico State. NMSU was 1-11 in 2012 but have talent on both sides of the ball to be a much better team in 2013. The Owls face former Sun Belt conference mates MTSU and FIU at home but have a tough week 2 game in traveling up north to face ECU. Overall, the Owls were given a very winnable conference slate for 2013.
