Home of the Missouri
State football, track and field, soccer and field hockey teams, Plaster Sports
Complex (PSC) was completed in 1992 and seats 16,300 spectators. The former
"Briggs Stadium" is a multi-use facility for the purpose of supporting
recreational and educational needs of Missouri State University students,
faculty and staff members as well as providing facilities for hosting
intercollegiate athletic contests in football, track and field, soccer and
field hockey.
The stadium's football
field was replaced in 2006 with a state-of-the-art Field Turf Synthetic Grass
surface that provides an all-weather soft surface on game day. It is also an
excellent surface for completing warm-ups, cool-downs, running drills, strides and
various other training activities.
In the summer of 2008 a
nearly-$2 million jumbo-tron scoreboard was added to the facility allowing for
replays, graphics, live statistics and instant posting of results for various
athletic events.
As a track and field
facility, PSC includes an 8-lane synthetic all-weather track surface, an
outside steeplechase pit, two-runways and four sand pits for long and triple
jump and recently-upgraded high jump and pole vault mats and standards.

FBS Aspirations: There are talks
about a stadium expansion in the near future but there is very little information
from reliable sources about the possibility of a jump to the FBS in either the
Sun Belt or any of the other conferences. The Bears would fit best toward the
Sun Belt or MAC if they put forth the money to move up.
