The San Diego State Aztecs rebuffed an offer from the Big East to join the conference and look to be playing a more difficult schedule as a direct result. The Aztecs face Ohio State and Oregon State as well as Eastern Illinois and New Mexico State out of conference. The Aztecs face 5 conference foes that made bowl games in 2012 (Boise, Fresno, Nevada, Air Force, San Jose State). Overall, the Aztecs face 7 bowl teams from 2012.
