Former Miami (OH) receiver Nick Harwell finds a new home

Miami OH Athletics
After that ugly mess of the dismissal of Nick Harwell from the Miami (OH) football program following an injury plagued yet still productive 2012 season, Harwell has found a new home as a member of the Kansas Jayhawks.

Harwell was one of the most productive players in Miami (OH) history with 229 catches for 3,166 yards and 23 touchdowns in three years with the program. Harwell caught a school record 97 catches in 2012 that went for over 1,400 yards including five games of 10 or more receptions capped by a 15 catch, 229 yard performance versus Temple.

Harwell finished second on the team in receptions behind Andy Cruse's 74 catches although Harwell led the team in receiving yards (870), receiving touchdowns (8), and yards receiving per game (96.7).

Harwell's 2013 eligibility is still in dispute with the NCAA taking a look with the goal to let Harwell know by the end of June at the latest whether he can play in 2013 or sit out 2013 and play his final year in 2014.
