The Monarchs have the 83rd ranked recruiting class in the nation and the fifth ranked class in Conference USA. Old Dominion reached out to eight different states for their commits with 11 coming from Virginia, 4 from Maryland, 4 from football rich Georgia and 3 from nearby North Carolina. The class is full of 3-star recruits that can come in immediately and add depth and maybe even compete for starting jobs this fall.

Old Dominion ended the 2014 season with a respectable 6-6 record that included victories over Rice, FIU, FAU and Louisiana Tech. The low point of the season was a mid-season five game losing streak that ended any shot of a winning record in 2014 but the Monarchs were able to bounce back with a three game winning streak to get to six wins and guarantee a .500 overall record.
