The Rockets have the 88th ranked recruiting class in the nation according to 247 sports, putting them 4th in the MAC rankings. Toledo has 22 on the commit list currently with those prospects coming from 9 different states. 12 of the 22 come from in-state Ohio schools with Pennsylvania and Maryland each producing two commits per state. 8 recruits are rated 3-start players and could come in an make a difference in their first couple of years with the program.

Toledo continued to roll along in 2014 with a 9-4 record that included a win over Arkansas State in a wild GoDaddy Bowl in Mobile, Alabama. The Rockets went 7-1 in conference play with their only loss coming to Northern Illinois, giving the Huskies yet another division title over Toledo. The Rockets hope to break the streak of losing the division in 2015.
