Overall Breakdown: Buffalo looked to be an up and coming team a couple years ago with Turner Gill at the head coaching spot and the team finally looking respectable. Well 2010 showed that those times are gone at least for now. The 2010 season saw Buffalo win only 2 games and being outscored by nearly 2 touchdowns per game. The offense struggled not even being able to accumulate 300 yards of offense per game nor even 15 points per game. Taking away a 31-0 victory over I-AA Rhode Island, the Bulls only scored 12.6 points per game. Pittsburgh had a moderately successful season going 8-5 and beating a pretty good Kentucky squad in the BBVA Compass Bowl. The Panthers were able to outscore their opponents by 7.3 points per game but were unable to beat many of the top teams of their schedule. Pitt looks to have a legitimate chance to win the Big East and should be in the top 3 overall in the Big East. This game should not be much of a challenge for the Panthers similar to the UCONN or Temple games for Buffalo in 2010. Expect a 35-7 or 45-14 type of score in this matchup.
