Overall Breakdown: While South Carolina State had a very nice team in 2010, they were not able to hang with Georgia Tech in their one game versus a D-I team. CMU took care of their one D-II game beating Hampton 33-0 with relative ease in their 2010 season opener. It’s the old running team versus the passing team where CMU averaged over 300 yards in the air while South Carolina State was more balanced but leaned towards the run whenever possible. This game could end up a little too close for comfort for Central Michigan if they are not careful. Expect South Carolina State to be right in the running for at least a half and maybe even into the 4^th quarter but CMU should pull this one out and start the 2011 season on a winning note.
