Overall Breakdown: Although being a I-AA school with fewer scholarships and a much lower budget, Villanova gave Temple everything they could handle in 2010 losing 31-24. Temple will be motivated by this game to show that they were worthy of a bowl bid in 2010 and will be even more worthy in 2011. Offensively, both teams moved the ball fairly well with both having over 175 yards passing per game and over 150 yards rushing per game. Both defenses played very well giving up 19 points per game a piece although Temple played a much more difficult schedule in 2010. Temple seems to be a team on the rise in the MAC and a team starting to get national exposure. Expect Temple to handle Villanova and the score be closer to a 10 point margin than the 7 point win last year.
