Overall Breakdown: Weber State had a very effective offense that racked up yards but had trouble putting the ball in the end zone as well as they should. The rushing and passing attacks both had above average totals per game but the defense gave up over 31 points per game never allowing them to compete with the better teams on their schedule expect in shootouts. Wyoming had a 2010 to forget. Losses to Texas, Boise, Air Force, TCU, Utah, BYU, and SDSU highlighted their surprisingly tough schedule. The Cowboys improbably pulled out a win over 2010 bowl team Toledo while managing to lose to New Mexico and UNLV. Wyoming should be slightly favored but this game feels more like a toss-up between I-AA team that is on the cusp of being very competitive and a I-A team that struggled to move the ball on offense and had a lot of trouble with teams that had prolific offenses. I would not be surprised to see an upset in this game.
