Overall Breakdown: Stony Brook played I-A 2010 bowl participant UTEP in week one and took the Miners to the limit eventually losing 31-24 in overtime. The Seawolves have a solid I-AA team that can play very well up to the competition it faces. The offense was a balanced attack with 179 yards in the air and 231 on the ground in week one. Buffalo has struggled since former coach Turner Gill took the Kansas job following the 1st bowl appearance in years for the Bulls. There were some good signs in a week one loss to Pittsburgh with the offense racking up over 400 yards of total offense with 276 coming in the air. On paper, the Bulls should easily win this game but ask UTEP how well Stony Brook played in week one and you will get a different answer. In the end, Buffalo should pull away and win the game with a score along the lines of 31-21 or 24-14.
