Central Michigan versus Michigan State Preview

Central Michigan at Michigan State—The Chippewas are reeling after a blowout loss to bitter rival Western Michigan in week three by the score of 44-14. WMU was never really in the game losing 24-0 at the half and 38-7 after three quarters. The offense is struggling to score points averaging a platry 16 points per game good for 106th in the country. With a trip to East Lansing followed by NIU and then a trip to North Carolina State, things could get ugly with 1-5 being a distinct possibility. Michigan State was up to 15th in the polls until a loss to an 0-2 Notre Dame squad. The Spartans are only giving up 12.3 points per game good for 16th in the country. This is a difficult matchup any way you see it with the offensive struggles of the Chippewas compounded by the very talented defense of Michigan State. This has the markings to be a blowout. Michigan State 45-14.
