The Rebels have been able to salvage a decent recruiting class after the firing of their head coach in the 2014 season. UNLV has 19 commits currently with those players coming from six different states including California, Hawaii, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, and Washington. Seven of the 19 commits are rated 3-star or higher with five commits from the JUCO ranks. The JUCO players could be expected to vie for playing time immediately.

UNLV had a terrible season in 2014 that resulted in the firing of head coach Bobby Hauck. Hauck went 15-49 at UNLV with only one of his five seasons resulting in more than two wins. The Rebels are replacing Hauck with direct from high school head coach Tony Sanchez. The newly minted coach will be looking to bring the Rebels back into national prominince.
