Navy, a brief look
Navy (5-7)--The Naval Academy saw its streak of winning seasons and bowl games come to an end in 2011. Big things were expected for the Midshipmen with the young nucleus returning last season and things looked good after the first 2 games. Navy then played #10 South Carolina down to the wire before losing 24-21 and then imploded losing the next 5 games and sitting at 2-6 with 4 games to play. After 2 impressive wins, the Naval Academy fell apart and lost to a bad San Jose State team to knock themselves out of bowl contention. As far as positives, They did beat Army yet again. It seems that 2011 was a blip on the radar and the Midshipmen will be back to their winning ways again in 2012.
