New Mexico, a brief look
New Mexico (1-11, 1-6)--The Lobos are coming off of one of the worst seasons in school history with only one win coming versus a very bad UNLV squad. The Lobos scored the fewest points per game in the nation while giving up the second most points per game in the nation. New Mexico was outscored by 29 points per game in their dreadful 2011 season. In an interesting move, the Lobos brought in former Notre Dame coach and ESPN analyst Bob Davie to fix the program and make New Mexico a respectable football squad. This is Davie’s first coaching job since is release from Notre Dame in 2001. There is nowhere to go but up for the Lobos and Davie could coax a win or two more from the team but it seems that 3 wins is the ceiling for New Mexico in 2012.
