Top Returning Sun Belt Players

1. Ryan Aplin, QB, Arkansas State: First team all-Sun Belt as a sophomore and junior and was conference MVP last season. Threw for over 3500 yards in 2011 and over 2900 yards in 2010. Odds on favorite to win conference player of the year again in 2012 under new coach Gus Malzon.
2. Javone Lawson, WR, ULL: First team all-Sun Belt as a junior in 2011. 63 catches for over 1000 yards and 8 touchdowns in 2011. Had 31 total catches going into last season.
3. Jonathan Massaquoi, DE, Troy: Two-time all-Sun Belt player as a sophomore and junior. Had 76 tackles and 13.5 sacks in 2010 as well as 47 tackles and 5.5 sacks in 2011.
4. Andrew Jackson, LB, WKU: First team all-Sun Belt in his first season as a starter as a sophomore in 2011. 106 tackles and 3.5 sacks in 2011.
5. Jack Griffin, K, FIU: First team all-Sun Belt in 2011. Connected on 22-26 field goals in 2011 and 17-20 in 2010. Has made all 81 extra point attempts in his career.
6. Will Atterbury, P, UNT: First team all-Sun Belt in 2011. Averaged 43.5 yards per punt in 2011 with 3 punts going over 60 yards in 74 attempts. Has improved his punting totals by two yards in every year as punter(39, 41, 43).
