Overall Breakdown: The Rockets showed the nation that they are not the usual MAC pushover who gets rolled by Ohio State yearly. In a great performance, wide receiver Eric Page had 12 catches and led the offense to 22 points and a realistic chance at pulling off the upset. The Rockets come into a huge ESPN matchup versus Boise scoring an average of 40 points while allowing 14.5 points per game. The Boise State Broncos had a bye in week 2 after a masterful performance by senior quarterback Kellen Moore in a 35-21 win over the Georgia Bulldogs. The Offense was dominant and the defense played well enough to easily beat the Bulldogs. The defense is susceptible to the big play with all three of Georgia’s touchdowns coming from 30 yards or more giving Eric Page and Adonis Thomas a chance to make big plays. Boise has a talent level that is right up there with some Big 6 schools and on paper should be able to handle Toledo. Toledo showed last week why games aren’t played on paper in nearly upsetting and fully outplaying Ohio State. Overall, Toledo will give Boise a run for their money on national television and should be right in the game going into the 4th quarter before the Broncos take control in the final 15 minutes and win the game. Boise State 35-24.

  1. good preview, Toledo could (just could) prevail if they aren't completely demoralized or too injured after the Ohio State catastrophe. Unfortunately the Toledo team is gettting further from full strength every second with serious injuries on D. And the team is about as highly penalized a team as there is in the nation and Toledo has no chance playing that shoot themselves in the foot type football.

  2. I really feel that if Toledo gets in the first punch, it could be a battle for Boise.
