QB
#12 Davis, Taylor QB 6-3 233 Jr. Anthem, Ariz.
(Boulder Creek High School)--7 games played, 3 starts. 28-62 passing for 234
yards and 1 TD.
#03 Blackman, Dominique QB 6-5
255 Jr. Carson, Calif. (Los Angeles Harbor College) (Carson High School)--No
stats in 2011.
#04 Bushnell, Logan QB 6-2 203
Sr. Puyallup, Wash. (Emerald Ridge High School)--4 games played, 1 start. 1-1
passing for 51 yards.

Fr. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (Coeur d'Alene High School)--Incoming Freshman.
#?? DeCoud, Austin QB 6-3 220
Fr. Redlands, Calif. (Redlands East Valley)--Incoming Freshman.
After starting 3 games and
playing in 7 in 2011, junior Taylor Davis is the favorite to start the 2012 season
at quarterback for the Vandals. Junior Dominique Blackman is fighting with
senior Logan Bushness for the backup job although both could conceivably
contend with Davis for the starting job. Incoming freshmen Chalich and DeCoud
look to be future options for the Vandals although both expect are expected to
be redshirted.
RB
#05 Bass, Ryan RB 5-10 214 Sr. Corona, Calif.
(Arizona State) (Centennial High School)--7 games played, 2 starts. 44 carries
for 175 yards and 2 TD. 3 catches for 7 yards.

R-Fr. Moscow, Idaho (Moscow High School)--Redshirted in 2011.
#?? Armstrong, Trae RB 5-7 180
Fr. Glendale, Ariz. (Deer Valley)--Incoming Freshman.
Being the only running back with
any experience, former Arizona State transfer senior Ryan Bass looks to be in
the lead for the majority of the carries in 2012. Juniors Baker and Cunningham
look to try to get playing time although as sophomores, neither got any
carries. Redshirt freshmen Handley and Parkins could get some time on the field
although they could end up being more help for the Vandals on special teams.
TE
#81 Elmo, Taylor TE 6-4 260 Jr. Yakima, Wash.
(Eisenhower High School)--12 games played, 8 starts. 17 catches for 162 yards.

R-Fr. Riggins, Idaho (Salmon River High School)--Redshirted in 2011.
#?? Lemke, Eric TE 6-4 225 Fr.
Issaquah, Wash. (Issaquah High School)--Incoming Freshman.
Junior Taylor Elmo and junior
Michael LaGrone look to get the majority of the snaps at the tight end position
although LaGrone will also get more playing time in formations that feature a
fullback. The two players accounted for 38 catches and 3 touchdowns. Junior
Clayton Homme will work his way into some playing time after playing in 11
games in 2011. Redshirt freshmen Lkingenberg and Manley look to work themselves
into some playing time after being redshirted in 2011. Freshman Eric Lemke
could make an impact but the likelihood of him redshirting is more likely.

Idaho (Mountain View High School)--11 games played, 4 starts. 7 catches for 83
yards. 1 special teams TD. 4 tackles.

#86 McRoyal, Ken WR 6-2 184 Sr.
New Orleans, La. (El Camino) (Carson High School)--8 games played, 1 start. 3 catches for 35 yards. 2 tackles. Fatally
shot and passed away during the summer.
After facing the sad news of
senior Ken McRoyal's passing away this summer, Idaho has a large amount of
receivers looking for playing time. Junior Daniel Micheletti and senior Mike
Scott had a combined 13 starts with Scott catching 55 passes for the Vandals.
Posey, Veltung, and Hatchett all made catches as well in 2011. With 4
redshirted freshmen, a juco transfer, and one incoming freshman, some players
will have to prove their worth on special teams before getting on the field as
receivers.

time with a solid 24 combined tackles as true freshmen. Also in the rotation
are senior Dontae Scott who had 17 tackles in 2011, sophomore Karel Kearney who
had 15 tackles, and Vince Keener who contributed 6 tackles in 2011. The wild
card for the defensive line is juco transfer Toapasi 'Pasi' Toki who has the

linebacker corps with 11 starts and 93 tackles in 2011. Senior strong side
linebacker Homer Mauga added 47 tackles. Senior middle linebacker Sua Tuala
looks to make the next step and make some starts for the Vandals in 2012. The
only other player with any experience is sophomore James Randall who played in
10 games in 2011 as a true freshman. Juco transfers Sala and Willis could both
get into the rotation and immediately get some playing time. Four redshirt
freshmen could all get into the mix as well.

Seniors Aaron Grymes and Gary
Walker lead the secondary with a combined 23 starts for the Vandals in 2011. Junior
Trey Williams looks to be the new strong safety after making 27 tackles in 10 games
played last season. The other projected starter is junior Tracy Carter who had
23 tackles and a fumble return for a touchdown as a sophomore last season.
Bass, Njoku, and Annelus also had playing time in 2011 and will compete to get
on the field in 2012. The majority of the rest of the players will compete for
backup positions and special teams spots this fall.
LS

his field goal attempts with a perfect 5-5 from inside the 40 yard line
although struggling from 40+ yards. Farquhar also was the kickoff specialist
with 2 touchbacks.
P
#13 Cowan, Bobby P 6-5 229 Sr. Vancouver, Wash.
(Evergreen High School)--88 punts for 46.4 yard average. 17 inside the 20 yard
line. 32 punts over 50 yards. 1 blocked. 2 tackles.
Senior Bobby Cowan had a great 46.4 yards per punt average in 2011 pinning the opponents inside the 20 on 17 occasions and booming 32 punts over 50 yards. He is a weapon for the Vandals and will get serious consideration for the NFL after his senior season.
ATH
#?? Watson, Deon ATH 6-3 210
Fr. Coeur d'Alene, Idaho (Coeur d'Alene High School)--Incoming Freshman.
With an out of conference
schedule that includes Bowling Green, LSU, North Carolina, Wyoming and BYU,
this could be a very difficult season for the Vandals. Realistically, Idaho
could and must go at least 2-3 in those 5 games to have any hope for a bowl
berth. The Vandals also face new WAC members Texas State and Texas San Antonio.
A 5-2 record in conference should get the Vandals into a bowl game in 2012.
Expect Idaho to just miss out and go 5-7 missing out on a bowl game this fall.
