Top 10


1. Ohio (3-0, 0-0)--In a tough matchup with the high-flying offense of Marshall, Ohio hung on for a 27-24 win to keep their record perfect at 3-0 on the year. The Bobcats' quarterback Tyler Tettleton have 781 yards passing and 7 touchdowns and no interceptions on the year. Previous: Beat Marshall 277-24, Next: Norfolk State.

2. Louisiana Tech (2-0, 0-0)--Louisiana Tech improved their record to 2-0 on the season scoring 56 points yet again winning 56-37 over the Rice Owls. The Bulldogs are led by the #9 rushing attack in the country putting up 289 yards per game on the year. Previous: Defeated Rice 56-37, Next: @Illinois.

3. Boise State (1-1, 0-0)--Putting behind them the blown chances in a 17-13 loss to #13 Michigan State, the Boise State Broncos relied on a strong running game in a 39-12 win over Miami OH. 6th-year senior DJ Harper ran for a career high 162 yards in the win. Previous: Defeated Miami OH 39-12, Next: BYU.

4. Brigham Young (2-1)--With the last "Holy War" being played for the time being, the BYU Cougars will be thinking about missed chances and missed field goals in their 24-21 loss to Utah Saturday night. The Cougars must put that game behind them quickly with a short week leading up to a Thursday night road game versus #24 Boise State. Previous: Lost to Utah 24-21, Next: @Boise State.

5. Toledo (2-1, 0-0)--Despite not looking like the normal explosive offense that Toledo has seen this season, the Rockets won a hard fought 27-15 game over Bowling Green Saturday. Quarterback Terrance Owens has 737 yards passing and 6 touchdowns on the season. Previous: Defeated Bowling Green 27-15, Next: Coastal Carolina.

6. Nevada (2-1, 0-0)--Nevada was pushed more than expected in a 45-34 win over FCS team Northwestern State Saturday night. Running back Stefphon Jefferson is the nation's second leading rushing  with 529 yards and 5 touchdowns. Previous: Defeated Northwestern State 45-34, Next: @Hawaii.

7. Tulsa (2-1, 0-0)--Behind a very balanced offense, the Tulsa Golden Hurricanes rolled to a 66-16 win over FCS team Nicholls State Saturday. The Golden Hurricanes are running the ball for 285 yards a game which is much needed after losing all conference quarterback GJ Kinne to graduation. Previous: Defeated Nicholls State, Next: Fresno State.

8. Northern Illinois (2-1, 0-0)--With quarterback Jordan Lynch getting into the groove of things, the Northern Illinois Huskies are now 2-1 on the season. The Huskies are one defensive stop from being 3-0 and higher up on the top 10 list. Prevoius: Defeated Army 41-40, Next: Kansas.

9. Western Kentucky (2-1, 0-0)--With a 32-31 overtime win over the Kentucky Wildcats, the Hilltoppers have set themselves up well for a potential bowl berth this fall. WKU dominated the Wildcats but were still able to pull out the win after being forced to overtime. WKU has won 8 of their last 10 games with the only losses coming to #1 LSU in 2011 and #1 Alabama this year. Many eyes will be on the Hilltoppers with a home game versus a young Southern Miss squad. Previous: Defeated Kentucky 32-31, Next: Southern Miss.

10. Louisiana Monroe (1-1, 0-0)--The Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks are 1-1 versus the SEC west after pushing Auburn to the limit Saturday afternoon. The Warhawks have the 11th ranked passing game in the country and quarterback Kolton Browning has accounted for 8 touchdowns on the season passing and running. Can the Warhawks keep up with another big game, this time at home, versus Big 12 foe Baylor. Previous: Lost to Auburn 31-28, Next: Baylor.
