Week 6 Preview: Buffalo versus Ohio

12:00 PM Buffalo at Ohio:

This is a MAC game between the Buffalo Bulls and the Ohio Bobcats. Buffalo enters this game at 1-3 with an 0-1 record in MAC play. The Bulls rely on a strong running game led by Branden Oliver and his 426 yards on 6.0 yards per carry this season. The passing game has been a bit of a disappointment ranking 108th nationally with 186 yards in the air per game. The Bulls are struggling on defense giving up at least 23 points in every game this season with Georgia scoring 45 in week 1. Ohio enters this game at 5-0 on the season with a 1-0 MAC record on the back of a much closer than expected win over Massachusetts. The Bobcats have been very efficient on offense with the 54th ranked passing game and the 22nd ranked rushing attack to go along with an offense that scores 36.6 points per game, good for 34th nationally. The Bobcats have been solid on defense but were shredded by one of the worst FBS offenses with UMass torching the Bobcats for 34 points in the Ohio win. This is the 19th overall meeting between the two schools with Ohio holding a 11-7 overall series advantage. Buffalo looked poor in the last two weeks on offense with the loss of Oliver to injury. The Bulls only hope is to have a healthy Oliver rejoin the squad for this game. With Oliver being banged up, this will be a hard game for Buffalo to win. Ohio 37-24.
