Week 6 Preview: Central Michigan versus Toledo

3:00 PM Central Michigan at Toledo:
This is a Mid American Conference matchup between the Central Michigan Chippewas and the Toledo Rockets. Central Michigan enters this game at 2-2 and 0-1 in the MAC on the season. The Chippewas are average on offense with 239 yards in the air and 159 yards on the ground but only the 82nd ranked scoring offense in the nation with only 25.3 points scored per game. The Chippewas have struggled on defense this fall giving up at least 27 points in every game this fall. The Toledo Rockets enter this game at 4-1 with a 2-0 record in the MAC so far this season. The Rockets are solid at running and passing the ball putting up 477 yards per game of total offense. Quarterback Terrence Owens has 1270 yards passing on the season in 5 games played. The Rockets are playing much better defense recently after a dreadful start that saw them give up over 600 yards to Arizona and 31 points to Wyoming in week 2. Since then, the Rockets have been better other than a throwaway game versus Coastal Carolina. This is the 41st overall meeting between the two schools with Toledo holding a 19-18-3 overall series lead. Toledo has been looking good and dominated a WMU team that many thought would give the Rockets a challenge last week. Expect Toledo to take control with an early score and force turnovers with CMU forcing to comeback all day. Toledo 38-17.
