Week 7 Previews: Navy versus Central Michigan

Friday, October 12
8:00 PM Navy at Central Michigan:

This is a matchup between FBS independent Navy and the Central Michigan Chippewas of the Mid American Conference. Navy enters this game at 2-3 coming off of an overtime win over rival Air Force on the road 28-21. The Midshipmen have played better defensively as the season has progressed but their offense has been quite poor this season. Central Michigan enters this game at 2-3 behind one of the nation's worst defenses. The Chippewas give up just over 40 points per game and have given up 50+ in the last two games. Navy is 2-0 all-time versus Central Michigan with the most recent meeting being a 38-37 thriller in 2010. The key to this game is the play of newly promoted true freshman quarterback Keenan Reynolds in his first start for Navy. If he can lead the offense and have some early success, the Midshipmen should win this game. Navy 31-28.
