Week 7 Previews: UAB versus Houston

Saturday, October 13
12:00 PM UAB at Houston:

This is a Conference USA meeting between the Alabama-Birmingham Blazers and the Houston Cougars. UAB enters this game at 1-4 despite playing some very solid football throughout the season. The Blazers has chances in the second half to knock off both Ohio State and Tulsa before falling by 14 and 7 points respectively. The passing game for UAB has been great with just over 300 yards in the air per game. Houston enters this game at 2-3 on the season with one of the two wins coming in conference play. The Cougars are top 50 rushing the ball and 6th nationally passing the ball. After a poor 0-3 start to the season, Houston has won their last two games by over 20 points in getting back to Houston football. The overall series is tied 4-4 with Houston winning the last three meetings of the two schools. This could be quite a shootout with both teams ranking in the bottom 25 nationally in scoring defense. I wouldn't be surprised with a UAB upset but I think Houston pulls off the win. Houston 41-38.
