This is a meeting between Mid American Conference member Kent State and FBS independent Army. Army enters this game at 1-4 but coming off of a huge win over ACC foe Boston College. That win ended an 8-game losing streak for the Black Knights going back into the 2011 season. Kent State enters this game at a surprising 4-1 on the season with a sparkling 3-0 conference record. The Golden Flashes rely upon a strong running game that is the backbone of the very balanced attack.
