Week 7 Preview: Toledo versus Eastern Michigan

Saturday, October 13
1:00 PM Toledo at Eastern Michigan:

This is a Mid American Conference game between the Toledo Rockets and the Eastern Michigan Eagles. Toledo enters this game at 5-1 on the season and are only an overtime loss in the season opener to Arizona from a perfect 6-0 record. The Rockets are in the top 51 nationally in passing and rushing the ball led by quarterback Terrence Owens 1503 yards in the air this season. Owens is just over 500 yards short of setting a season high in passing yards with 6 games left in the season. Eastern Michigan enters this game on fumes at 0-5 and a demoralizing 41-14 loss to Kent State last week. The Eagles are past must win territory and full on into save the coach's job territory. The Eagles are in the bottom 25 rushing and passing the ball and have the 5th worst scoring offense and 15th worst scoring defense. This is the 40th overall meeting between the two schools with Toledo holding a 28-11 overall series lead with wins in the last 5 meetings. Unless EMU can find something that has been missing all season and play somewhere near the level of 2011, this could get ugly. Even if they do play as well as last year, this should get ugly. Toledo 55-14.
