MOBILE, Alabama - South Alabama's football coaching staff
has undergone some changes since last season. So when the Jaguars begin spring
practice in two weeks, there will be just as much attention placed on the
coaching staff as the players.
Head coach Joey Jones had to replace three coaches from last
season's season. Former defensive coordinator and assistant head coach Bill
Clark accepted the head coaching job at Jacksonville State.
Former secondary
coach Duwan Walker, who joined Clark in Mobile from the Prattville High staff,
followed Clark to Jacksonville where he was named the Gamecocks' defensive
coordinator. Former running backs and special teams coach Tommy Perry left the
jags to join the staff at North Texas in the same roles, moving him and his
family back to their Texas roots.
