According to 247, Louisiana Tech is the 66th ranked recruiting class in the nation and the top class of the Conference USA programs. 247 is much more impressed with this Bulldogs class as seven 3 star recruits are only 2 star on the Rivals website. Either way, this is an impressive haul for Holtz and company with the Bulldogs never having to leave the Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Mississippi area to get their class.

The Bulldogs are coming off of a 9-5 season that included a 35-18 win over Big Ten program Illinois in the Heart of Dallas Bowl after a 26-23 loss in the C-USA title game to Marshall.

The Bulldogs, with four quarterbacks on their roster already, will bring in Florida transfer Jeff Driskell as well as dual threat QB J'Mar Smith to replace outgoing Cody Sokol (3,436 yards, 30 TD). Lousiana Tech had over 50 players on the roster that were redshirted at one point so depth seems to be a strength heading into the 2015 season.

2014 returning starters: (6 or more starts in 2014)
Defense (6):
Adarius Barnes (14 starts, 46 tkl, 5 INT, DB), Kentrell Brice (14 starts, 86 tkl, 4 sacks, 2 INT, 4 FF, DB), Aaron Brown (8 starts, 15 tkl, 1.5 sacks, DL), Vernon Butler (14 starts, 56 tkl, 13.5 tfl, DL), Vontarrius Dora (10 starts, 29 tkl, 6.5 tfl, 4 sacks, DL), Xavier Woods (14 starts, 71 tkl, 6 INT, DB).

Offense (8):
Darrell Brown (9 starts, OL), Joseph Brunson (8 starts, OL), Jens Danielson (6 starts, OL), Kenneth Dixon (13 starts, 1,299 rushing, 22 TD, 30 catches, 385 yards, 6 TD, RB), Carlos Henderson (7 starts, 29 catches, 569 yards, 4 TD, WR), Trent Taylor (9 starts, 64 catches, 834 yards, 9 TD, 22 punt returns, WR), Paul Turner (12 starts, 42 catches, 514 yards, 4 TD, WR), Kirby Wixson (12 starts, OL).

What players from this recruiting class do you see making an impact this fall? Will most be redshirted or do you see that special player that will immediately fight for playing time this fall? Let us know in the comments.
