According to 247, the Warhawks have the 102nd ranked recruiting class in the nation, ranking them 6th in the competitive Sun Belt Conference. The Warhawks have 24 commits from five different states with half of the class coming from nearby Texas. Along with in-state players, ULM brought in 18 players from those two states alone.

ULM struggled in 2014 to a 4-8 record with a 3-5 record in the Sun Belt Conference. The season started well for the Warhawks with a 3-1 beginning that only had a loss to then #9 ranked LSU on the road. From then on, the bottom fell out with ULM losing six consecutive games before ending their skid at New Mexico State. The Warhawks look to get back to winning ways but it will not be easy in a much improved Sun Belt.
