Those 26 rank the Midshipmen 106th nationally and third behind Notre Dame and BYU for independent programs. Navy has commits from 11 different states with the state of Tennessee leading the way with 7 players joining the program.

Navy had a tough start to the season in 2014, losing four of their first six games of the season. Among those losses was a season opening loss to Ohio State as well as losses to Rutgers, Western Kentucky and rival Air Force. The Midshipmen were able to turn their season around in the final six games, winning five and only losing to Notre Dame down the stretch.
